System Notes: The inverter type KACO was chosen for various reasons. KACO has a less than 1% (<1%) failure rate worldwide, Inverter startup voltage is among the lowest available on the market, and KACO inverters utilise fans which greatly minimises salty air within the unit, as well as any future probelms associated with moving parts.
Also, multiple inverters were used in this installation for the purpose of redundancy. Should an inverter fail, only part of the solar system will shut down, whereas with one single, large inverter, a malfunction in the inverter will result in total system production loss.

The degree of module tilt chosen was 10 Degrees. With this tilt, optimal system performance is achieved while minimising any airborne debris damage, as well as substantionally reducing wind-load on the system. In addition, the 10 Degree tilt will allow water to run off the modules thereby keeping them free and clear of dirt, dust, salt, etc.
